Char House in Bay City

This is the second time I've been here. Service is always fast. This place is a jewel. Food is always good. Price is on point to similar restaurants. Decor is charming and such a relief compared to the decor in other restaurants. Today I had French onion soup.. Broth was seasoned correctly and was very beefy with lots of croutons and cheese. So many items to choose from on the menu.

Very cute inside, bathroom clean! Service was very slow, food came out warm and lacking.

Not impressed with the food. Just ok and over priced. Went on mexican night, chips were stale and we had nachos. Ick.

Duece's Char House Restaurant. I took my wife there, and her and I loved it we ordered and we didn't have to wait long at all and we had our food.(Everything for the both of us ordered was exactly what we wanted. The Amount let me say I hope you are hungry.). It's a awesome place to eat. We will go there again and we will tell our friends to go there and eat. Had their breakfast & Italian steak sandwich , AWESOME ! Great bread ! & didn't try it yet , but word on the street is their prime rib is pretty good !

Nice family owned restaurant. I liked the way it was decorated. Omlet was great and good coffee. Friendly staff.

Perch tasteless, baked potato was very hard, server never came back to ask us how everything was.....in the past, meals here have been great. Hopefully, just an off night. BTW, was not at all busy on this Friday night.

Just had the chicken parm sandwich and it was delicious! Great portion, I think I'm going to pass out now from carb overload bliss. Service was friendly, only downside is that kitchen was very slow. I didn't mind, we had no particular place to be, so it was ok to just sit a while. Many more things on the menu I want to try, I'll go back for more.

Very good lunch! I had the perch sandwich and I recommend it. Really well done deep fried perch, not greasy, and at least 4 pieces on the sandwich. The house chips are great too! Not real salty like some places. We'll be going back for the dinner menu in a couple days.Nice clean place with nice people working it with good food. 5 stars

Love the waitress there she does her job well like she has done it for years.. I had the perch dinner with onion rings and a salad bar...They do like a beer batter type... I like my batter on my fish and onion rings, corn meal/ panko crispy batter and seasoned at least some salt the waitress suggested having them fry it longer...It was better... Love their toasted bread with liver pate or cheese... And the salad bar has a lot of the old favorites I've had growing up... Most everything on the salad bar taste fresh.. over all what I ordered /ate needed seasoning

I never been before. So Monday I decided to come in for breakfast. Hands down, best service I have had. Matt and Kathy made me feel very welcomed for my first time. Great experience and I highly recommend.

Great food good wait staff

Went for Valentine's Day dinner. It was our first time there...and our last. We had the prime rib which had no flavor at all, the au jus was blood and tepid water. We were looking forward to the escargot because most restaurants do not offer that, very bland. The breakfasts must be their saving grace but I don't think I want to chance it. I will say the people were very friendly, just think the kitchen staff could be a lot better.

The food is great, and so is the service. From burgers to giant wet burritos, this is a must eat at place!

Small, well-kept exterior is a surface to a nice dining experience. The wait staff are cordial and efficient. The menu includes everything from burgers and soup two dinners and appetizers at reasonable prices. Portions are large enough to satisfy bigger appetites. Ramps and handrails on the exterior doors are nice assistance to elderly or those with handicaps.

Very good food. I've only been here once but my food was delicious and the staff was very friendly. Good job guys!

Always great food and service

Sunday breakfast was great. They were busy but not only accommodated our group of 8, but got all of our orders right! The decor is a bit dated but I think it adds to the charm. Very clean. The food was tasty and filling. It was very enjoyable and affordable. We will definitely be back.

Sausage seems to have natural casing and is delicious; potatoes were extra crispy like I asked (w/o being burnt) and had more than just a boring potato flavor. Eggs were a tiny bit crispy but still very good. They got our food out fast and kept the coffee coming! Great food coupled w/a quiet, cozy atmosphere makes this an ideal spot for breakfast. I plan to come back to try out the Polish Sausage!

Excellent food.... waiter was very helpful... steak was cooked perfectly to my asking... potato was huge.... the French dressing is some of the best I've ever had ....two thumbs up.... will be return customers... A+++

On this visit I had the seafood platter and as always it was perfection. Love the salad bar and the liver pate is such a treat. Good service, good food what more could you ask for.

My absolute favorite breakfast!! Everything is delicious. The crunchy french toast is one of my favorites. The “he man” breakfast is also delicious. Oh and I can’t forget about the breakfast pizza either!! You can’t go wrong

Great. Fresh homemade food! Prices are a little high but worth it for the quality of what you are getting. Been there many times and have had a couple instances where service has been a bit slow but the waitstaff has always been very friendly and helpful.

An excellent restaurant with fabulous food and large portions. Only minus was our waitress who was pretty space. We all thought she was high on something.......

This place is a joke 80 percent of the food is cooked in microwave even the prime rib what a shame not home cooking at all! Most food frozen and prepped and cooked in Microwave pretty said if u ask me! And the owner don’t know how to run a Business she should be ashemed of herself she she hires junkies and allows the sell of drugs at her business and knows it and Allows it and turns her head Like it’s nothing !

Best restaurant in town!

First: Awesome service and food.Second: Good small local buisness.Third: The atmosphere and presentation were lacking. I struggle to order and thoroughly enjoy a (good tasting) $20+ meal to eat on a vinyl table cloth reminiscent of what great grandma used or the family used at a picnic. As someone who has worked in front and back of a chop house...I know how much small details in food presentation and atmosphere can make. I will say that we didn't want for more food...even from the take out boxes during our next meal.Last thought, based on the size of the menu and the numbers I seen...Im left wondering how fresh stuff was. Still tasted alright but couldn't bring myself to order prime rib on a week day.

Good stop, went for breakfast but lunch looked too good. And it was.

I got the He-Man special and substituted my meat selection with the polish sausage. A very laid-back local place. Coffee refills very fast, EXCELLENT service. Pancakes were good, really wanted to try the upside down pineapple pancake. Sausage was good, i really enjoyed that. Polish Sausage had a natural casing and i hear they make it in house.

Awesome food. The waitress Amy is so cheerful and always on the stop to help. The boss is very gracious and always make great food, and lots of it. Love this place.

Traditional food. Good quality. Salad bar seriously lacking many options, but what there is is good. Service is excellent.

Bacon deep fried and awful taste toast well buttered leaked butter to both sides of toast water had bad taste but service was great just bad food
